Instant Pot User Manual Duo Plus

2020. 11. 4. 21:28카테고리 없음

Oct 20, 2019  The Instant Pot Duo Evo Plus uses a sensor to toggle between 9.3 and 11.6psi on High pressure and between 4.35 and 7.25psi on the Low pressure setting. The 6-quart Evo Plus is 1200 watts, 13 pounds, and 13.03″ × 12.68″ × 12.8″. The 8-quart Evo Plus is 1400 watts, 15 pounds, and 14.37″ × 13.9″ × 14.2″. However, most instant pot models don’t have a pressure cooker option. The new Duo Plus caters for this need by incorporating the pressure cooker option in its programs. With the addition of pressure cook button as opposed to the manual button, you can now use the instant pot as an electric pressure cooker. Clear and Easy To Understand User Manual.

Instant pot duo plus 60 user manual

The Instant Pot Duo is a 7-in-1 multi-use pressure cooker, so it can also make yogurt, cook rice, stew, steam, and more. It's the most popular version of the Instant Pot because it's reasonably priced, comes in three size options, and you'll often find it on sale somewhere.

Pros

  • Reasonably priced
  • Includes seven functions
  • Comes in three sizes
  • Easy-to-use buttons
  • Features stainless steel pot
  • Goes on sale often

Cons

  • Manual pressure valve release
  • Can't sterilize or control temperature

The Instant Pot Ultra does everything the Duo does, except with these added functions: Sterilize, Cake Maker, Egg Cooker, and Ultra. The display looks a lot nicer and the auto-closing pressure valve means one less step between you and delicious meals. However, the knob is a tad sensitive and hard to use compared with regular buttons.

Instant pot duo evo plus user manual

Pros

  • Features 10 functions
  • Larger and fancier display
  • Auto-closing pressure valve and safer pressure release button
  • The 'Ultra' program allows users to manually control the temperature for precise cooking, similar to Sous Vide.

Cons

  • Uses a knob instead of buttons, and it's less intuitive.
  • More expensive

For most people, the Duo is enough to get the job done. After all, there's a reason why it's the most popular Instant Pot model. However, the Ultra does have some very nice functions that make cooking even more convenient. It's just $50 more.

It boils down to features and price

Honestly, the Duo is the most popular model, and for good reason: it gets the job done and the price is reasonable, so it'll be good for most people. However, if you're the type of person who wants the fancy high-tech stuff and cost does not matter, then the Ultra is nice to have for the extra features.

While the Duo is missing several functions, after using my Duo for over a year, I've come to realize that I really just need the Pressure/Manual and Sauté functions, with the occasional Steam for vegetables. Plus, the buttons are easier to use, since the Ultra knob is a tad finicky and sensitive, so you may waste some time just getting the knob on the right setting.

After using my Duo for over a year, I've come to realize that I don't need any of the Ultra's extra functions.

However, the Ultra is definitely nice with the auto-closing pressure valve. This means that you just lock the lid and the Ultra takes care of the sealing. With the Duo, you'll need to manually check to make sure that the pressure valve is in the 'Sealing' position, otherwise, the pressure won't be able to build up. If you go with just the Duo, checking the valve is just something you need to make sure you do and it's only a small, extra step.

For those who like to see a visual representation on the display of how their food is coming along, the Ultra's progress indicator is a nice touch. You'll see what stage of the cooking process the food is in and even see the temperature rising.

The Ultra setting allows you to maintain water at a specific temperature, which you need for Sous Vide cooking. However, if you already have your own Sous Vide Circulator Stick, then you don't need the Ultra's pseudo-sous vide controls.

Both the Instant Pot Duo and Ultra are great products, but if you are solely wanting to pressure cook (and that's the most the majority of customers will probably want to do), then the Duo is enough to get the job done for a fair price. However, if you want more high-tech bells and whistles, and the cost isn't an issue, then go for the Ultra.

Our Pick

Instant Pot Duo

The most popular Instant Pot model

The Instant Pot Duo is a great multi-use pressure cooker that will get the job done. It has seven built-in programs, but you'll end up using Sauté and Pressure/Manual the most, leaving the rest alone for the most part. It comes in three sizes for all of your cooking needs and is on sale often.

High-tech

Instant Pot Ultra

The pressure cooker with a lot of fancy bells and whistles

The Ultra does everything the Duo does, and a lot more, including Sterilizing and Sous Vide. It also auto-closes the pressure valve, so that's one less thing to worry about. However, the knob is a bit finicky and a lot of the extra features are unnecessary if you're solely looking for a way to pressure cook your food. Plus, this model is a bit on the pricier side, but it does go on sale occasionally.

The iPhone XR is colorful. Keep it that way with a clear case.

A big part of the iPhone XR’s appeal is the array of color options. What’s the point of a colorful phone if you cover it up completely?

The Instant Pot company recently released two new Instant Pots and they sent me them to review! Today I’m excited to introduce to you the first of the two, the new Instant Pot Duo Plus 60 – 6 quart Electric Pressure Cooker. Here’s my Instant Pot Duo Plus 60 Review:

The Instant Pot Duo Plus 60 is a 9 in 1 Multi-Use Programmable Pressure Cooker with Advanced Microprocessor Technology and a Stainless Steel Cooking Pot. It is a Pressure Cooker, Slow Cooker, Rice/Porridge Cooker, Cake Maker (New), Yogurt Maker, Sautér/Searer, Steamer, Warmer, and Sterilizer (New).

What’s New?

  • A Pressure Cook button instead of a Manual button. The most important function of the Instant Pot has always been pressure cooking, but people have said to me, I don’t have a pressure cooker, I have an Instant Pot. The new Duo Plus clears up any confusion there may have been about whether or not the Instant Pot is a pressure cooker. With the addition of a pressure cook button instead of the manual button, it’s clear that the Instant Pot is an electric pressure cooker. I can’t tell you how much I love this change! They’ve also changed the Timer button to a Delay Start button, which should end the confusion about that button as well.
  • A Great New User Manual. The manual on previous Instant Pot models was often criticized for not being clear and easy to understand. The new manual is a huge improvement. It’s well designed and easy to understand and use. You can find the manual online and much of it applies to all Instant Pots.
  • A New Trivet with curves in the handles. The curves make it easier to grab the trivet / rack handles and remove it from the pot.
  • Updated Display. The Plus has a new blue LCD display that lets you adjust the cooking settings and pressure levels at any time during the cooking process. There are 4 new icons to enable you to easily see the status of the cooker, Heat, Pressure Cook, Keep Warm and Sound. The ‘Heat’ indicates heating or cooking in progress, ‘Pressure Cook’ indicates the pressure cook program is selected, ‘Keep Warm’ indicates if it is ON/OFF, and ‘Sound’ indicates if the sound is ON/OFF.
  • Easier to Read Markings on the inner pot so it’s easier to tell how full your pot is, so you don’t over fill it. There’s also an Instant Pot label on the pot. If you have more than one pressure cooker, it’s nice that it’s labeled so now you can easily tell which one to use in your Instant Pot.

15 Smart Built-In Programs

  • Soup/Broth
  • Meat/Stew
  • Bean/Chilli
  • Cake – The new Cake program is programed for frequently used times for cakes, like cheesecake!
  • Egg – The new Egg program is programed with frequently used times for perfect hard boiled eggs.
  • Slow Cook
  • Sauté/Searing
  • Rice
  • Multigrain
  • Porridge
  • Steam
  • Sterilize – The new Sterilize program can be used to pasteurize dairy products, sterilize baby bottles, jars, and utensils.
  • Yogurt
  • Keep Warm
  • Pressure Cook – replaces the Manual button.

Wrap up – Instant Pot Duo Plus 60 Review

I’ve been using the Instant Pot Duo Plus 60 for two weeks now and have yet to find anything I don’t like about it. The Instant Pot company has truly listened to their customers and made changes that I think everyone will like.
